main PDF Service page What is the PDF Conversion Service? It is a service of converting your annual audit report and special procedures reports when applicable into Portable Document Format (PDF) and submitting them to the Texas Education Agency. Simply send a complete, signed copy of your reports to us. We will use our ProScan technology to convert all pages of the report(s) into a single PDF file and add the “read only” security required by TEA. What does it cost? The charge is $195 for the annual audit report, $95 for the state compensatory education (SCE) agreed-upon procedures report, and $50 for each SCE special procedures report. This includes uploading the files to the TEA’s T.E.A.S.E. web site, and returning the completed PDF file to you by e-mail attachment. The reports associated with compensatory education are needed only if the District has received notification from the TEA that one or more are required for their district. Why can’t I do it myself? There’s nothing stopping you, except time, money and possibly a steep learning curve. Let’s start with time. Producing a PDF file for each page of a 65-70 page report, then combining them into a single file in the correct sequence can be a tedious and time-consuming job, and there are many issues to deal with throughout the process. Then there’s money. Adobe Acrobat costs more than $200. It is not the same as the free Acrobat Reader. Reader only allows you to open files, not create, edit or save them. Finally, there’s that learning curve. Use of Adobe Acrobat is not for the faint of heart. How do I order the service? Mail the order form to us with a check or fax it with a check mailed the same day. We’re sorry, but with these low prices we cannot accept purchase orders without accompanying payment or accept payment by credit card. How do I know your service will satisfy TEA’s requirements for submission? You have our guarantee that the file will be in the proper structure and acceptable by TEA for their purposes. If not, we will either reconvert your data at no charge for resubmission or refund your money in full. How do I submit my reports to you? Mail an unbound paper copy of the signed report(s). This is particularly important for reports bound with the hot glue method. All signatures included in the official report should be included on the copy mailed to us, or you may write or type “Signature on file with the T.E.A.” on signature pages for reports already submitted on paper to the TEA. Reports may be either single or double-sided, with good print quality (shading should not be overly dark, for instance). What is the turnaround time? Our goal is three days or less. Orders will be processed in the order received, except that June 30th schools will be given priority over August 31st ones. Please place your order early.
