Seminar Description

"AuditWare Annual Update"

A workshop on the most powerful software in the industry for audit reporting!

                                                                                                  Seminar Content
While a summary and review of AuditWare basics suitable for new users will be included, the thrust of this course is to provide an update on the changes in AuditWare features since last year's version and the changes in AICPA, GASB and state level guidance that affects audit reporting. We will use both a school district and a city as examples when illustrating the changes.

Examples of the major new AuditWare features to be covered include: 1) A new process for using AuditWare by multiple users in a computer network environment; 2) A major change in the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) which greatly enhances its flexibility, the ability to edit the finished schedule and even a new ability to shrink it to fit on one page when desired; 3) Significant changes to help screens and the printed user manual, along with a summary of the top ten telephone support questions received in the last year; and 4) More than fifteen other feature changes and how to use them.

All changes in professional guidance which are newly required for this year's audits will be covered if they significantly affect audit reporting. These include changes by the Texas Education Agency in Texas workshops and by the California Department of Education and the Audit Appeals Panel and audit guide in California workshops.

                                                           Hands-On, Fast-Moving, Spiced-Up, Get-To-The-Point Training
You are welcome to bring your own notebook computer. An overhead projector will also be displaying the live computer on a large projection screen for the benefit of those without computers and to keep everyone "on the same page." We'll have the latest AuditWare program and a sample client available for installation on all computers at the start of the day. In the case of those attending who are not already AuditWare users, this will be a 30-day free trial version.

We try to make our workshops the best and most enjoyable you attend all year. Since they sometimes deal with rather dry and complex material, we try hard to make them fun and lively, provide a variety of learning methods and spice them up with humor when possible.
