THIS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED SOON TO REFLECT THE 2001 SEMINARS

AUDITWARE ANNUAL UPDATE
A Hands-On Workshop (8 CPE Credits)
On the Most Powerful Software in the Industry for Audit Reporting

Seminar Schedule

The schedule is 8:30-12:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:30 p.m. Lunch is on your own but each location has either an on-site restaurant or restaurants located nearby. See the reverse of this sheet for locations and dates.

Hands-On Training

New and prospective users are encouraged to bring their own computer. Experienced users may do so also, or look on with another user. An overhead projector will also be displaying the live computer on a large projection screen for the benefit of those without computers and to keep everyone "on the same page." We’ll have the latest AuditWare program and a sample client available for installation on all computers at the start of the day. In the case of those attending who are not already AuditWare users, this will be a 30-day free trial version.

Seminar Content

The AuditWare program has been rewritten this year in some basic ways. Come see the new AuditWare in action with its new reports, features and settings! All existing users of any AuditWare product are urged to attend. While it will include a review of the basics for the benefit of new or prospective users, much of the course will involve covering the changes included in the 2000 version and how to access and use the new features. There will be an in-depth review of several major features, including importing data from ASCII files, the new "budgeted fund" concept, using Report Master’s new features, the notes to the financial statements and the new "individual fund" statements. The seminar will include a practical "How do I . . ." session for the more advanced features.

Also included will be a brief review of the changes in governmental audit reporting guidance which are newly effective for this year. This includes Amendment No. 2 of the Yellow Book, which revises the auditor’s opinion on the financial statements, SAS 88, "Service Organizations and Reporting on Consistency," SAS 89, "Audit Adjustments," the April, 2000 revision of OMB’s Compliance Supplement, Texas Education Agency changes and GASB Technical Bulletin 2000-1, which rescinds most Y2K disclosure requirements.

Who Wants To Be A "Hundredaire"?

Ever dreamed of becoming a hundredaire? Just join one of the teams that play the game at one of our seminars. This fun spoof of the "Who wants to be a millionaire?" show will be used to make learning the basics of GASB 34 actually enjoyable -- or at least as enjoyable as such matters can be! We’ll be giving away real cash and no one will be embarrassed.

About AuditWare Development Company

For more than 10 years we have been providing software to auditors of school districts. Last year, more than one out of every three school district audit reports in Texas (more than 400 reports) was produced with our software. In early 1999, we introduced "AuditWare for Local Governments," which provides the same timesaving features to auditors of cities, counties, and other local governments in any state. In 2000, we are introducing our school district software to other states, starting with AuditWare for California School Districts.
